DAIRY FARMERS TRAINING & AWARENESS CAMP

2013-14:

Animal husbandry and livestock is highly potential sector contributing a lot in state economy, especially of rural economy. The potential of crop production depends upon huge investment and weather and meteorological conditions. Comparatively animal husbandry and livestock is more stable and requires lesser investments. Livestock have proved to be life savior in many distress conditions, especially in case of drought. Animal husbandry has a great potential for rural self-employment at lowest possible investment per unit. Therefore, livestock development is a critical pathway to rural prosperity.

Every year Government runs various schemes/programs for the benefit of the animal husbandry and livestock. However, lack of knowledge and awareness of the schemes/programs has resulted in slower growth of this sector. The poor infrastructure and animal care contributed towards the low quality & quantity of output. Navyug Vikas & Anusandhan Sansthan with the financial assistance of Animal Husbandry Department has organized various training and awareness camps in total 6 blocks covering almost 40 villages of the Bikaner District. The following are the highlights of the training and awareness camps in 2013-14:
